Exfil is a weekly Escape From Tarkov Podcast
On this week’s episode we break down everything you need to know about winning a 1v1 fight. Specifically we break down scenarios where you shoot at (or get shot) and decide you are going to engage the other player in a fight.
A recent encounter of MTBtrigger's is outlined in the mall area of Interchange just outside of the OLI store. This gun fight leads to a conversation of recognizing choke points and later identifying them before a fight begins.
The episode is rounded out by a discussion about how to control a choke point or use it to your advantage by anticipating enemy tactics.
Additionally, Ronal and MTB spend a few minutes talking about the rumors of a pending wipe (which seem to just be rumors). They boil it down to a question - what would the perfect length for a wipe be as long as we are in this ‘seasonal’ phase of the game. Is it a length of time or based on some sort of change or content release.

On this week’s episode it's all about 10 man labs.
Have you tried it? Do you think BSG is promoting it? Should it be allowed?
Ronal and MTB tackle these debates, but they also talk about what the community embracing 10 man labs could mean for future Tarkov content.
There are many things that point to teaming up in Escape From Tarkov as being an ‘OK’ thing to do - the ‘recruit-a-scav’ exfils for example. Additionally, there have been systems in the game teased that would work similar to reputation, a Karma system.
In a persistent game, all of these things would be expected. However, some recent changes, 5 man maximum on Factory and the changing of Killa’s mechanics and loot in the beginning of the wipe, point towards a seasonal mindset.

Exfil is a weekly Escape From Tarkov Podcast
We go full circle on this episode. The very first (official) episode of the Exfil was all about Interchange. MTB and Ronal head back into Interchange and talk about their recent experiences.
Both MTB and Ronal have had high percentage success rates when it comes to scav raids on interchange and they fully detail their strategy including the routes they use inside the mall to avoid PVP and scoop up loot!
Ronal talks about his ChADAR (the ADAR preset he has been using with m995 rounds on factory) and there is a short conversation about how to be successful right now on the factory map. There are a few things that have changed mid wipe - notably the need for a face shield and at least one magazine of high penetration ammo. You will see many other players with class 5 or 6 armor and a face shield or Altyn - be prepared!
Interchange and High Success rate scav runs. Both Ronal and MTB have developed strategies for completing roughly 90% of their scav runs successfully on interchange. The focus is on getting to OLI from anywhere on the map and looting it efficiently and being prepared for PVP with other scavs (or players) in a few key spots. They outline each of their routes from the common spawn points.

One of the questions that comes up, almost daily, is what map should a new player start on? MTB and Ronal try their best to give a one-map answer, but the question is VERY loaded.
They also tackle how to get a friend to play Tarkov. If someone said they don't think you'd be good at game... would you want to try?
The strategies for getting their friends to play are… very… different.
Lastly, the topic of creating your own end game in Tarkov is explored.

12.7 is here and we break down our favorite (and least favorite…) parts of the new patch!
Ronal and MTB both got to check out some of the new customs expansion in a handful of live games and a few offline exploration missions.
Sanitar has been added to shoreline! The hosts talk about the new tasks related to him and his goons as well as the locations you can find him.
Grenade Launchers or as most veteran FPS players like to call them… Noob Tubes!
What do you think about the grenade launchers being added?
MTB, historically, has been VERY against projectile explosives being added to FPS games. He unpacks the few games that have done it (mostly) right and why he thinks the Tarkov implementation will not be well received.
Do you agree?
The episode wraps with a conversation about the new and improved Scav AI. Scavs now run around, group up, charge you, avoid hot areas, loot corpses and probably a lot more. The early experiences with the new scavs have been a very refreshing change.
Overall, we love 95% of the new patch and have concerns about the grenade launcher and we look forward to hearing what YOU have to say about this patch.

This week’s episode features guest host JesseKazam. Jesse is a Twitch partner and YouTube creator who creates excellent escape from tarkov content.
I’d you’ve ever completed, or are currently trying to complete, the task ‘Setup’ you will appreciate the conversation at the top of the episode. The restrictive nature of being required to use only a shotgun, Ushanka, and a scav vest leads to Setup being one of the most… memorable… tasks in the game.
The concept of missing shots when you thought they should have connected was brought up during the shotgun conversation and leads to how to be introspective regarding your own gameplay footage.
Jesse and the hosts agreed that often times when looking back at recorded gameplay footage you will find that the shot you were sure ‘should have killed him’ was a miss or an object was in the way correctly causing the bullets to not deal damage - great tips regarding how to capture your gameplay in the episode.
The final segment is related to the communication from BSG regarding RMT and cheaters as well as the subsequent in game changes to battle them. It is hard to enter this conversation without being negative, but a few new (to us) ideas surfaced regarding what BSG wants and how they might be approaching the issues.

We tried to do something new... and it worked!
It just didn't turn into a good audio-only version of a podcast.
So... we made two 'episodes' this week!

This episode, the audio version, is a recap and lessons learned session from that game play. Additionally, Ronal and MTB talk about their experiences with the new bunker systems, their preferred method of learning the new areas, and they dive into a complex PVP encounter they had with two separate three-man teams.
